Ashley is not a native Texan, but she got here eventually – and that’s what counts, right? As a military kid, Ashley moved around the Southeast (plus a few pitstops in Hawaii, California, Kansas and Japan) before graduating from Auburn University in Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. She worked the last six years for a major PR firm in downtown Dallas, touching clients in the aviation, automotive and food industries, as well as the defense sector and a federal government agency.
Ashley and her husband Edward met at Auburn University in 2008, and despite her trying to set him up with several other girls, he (thankfully) pursued her until she finally got the hint that he wasn’t interested in her friends. They got married in 2015, and after the conclusion of his active-duty service in North Carolina, they returned to Dallas. They moved to Rowlett and started attending Lakepointe in early 2017 and were quickly joined by a golden retriever puppy, Sapper, and their daughter, Charlotte.
With a growing family and a renewed focus on raising up her daughter in Christ, Ashley looked for an opportunity to not only nourish her own faith, but use her skills to further the Kingdom – and God answered her prayers with her role at Lakepointe Church.
